This is an exquisite handmade amulet resembles the ancient priestly breastplate (in Hebrew choshen) worn by the Cohanim in the Ancient Jewish Temple in Jerusalem. The 12 gemstones represent the 12 tribes of Israel. On the back is the blessing of the High Priest still said by their descendants today. (Please see the image below.) The translation is:
