A stunning micrography lithograph by David Yohanan, signed by the artist, created and printed in Jerusalem. This is the story of Ruth written in Hebrew. Ruth, a Moabite, who in the days of the Judges joined the people of Judea with the famous saying "your People are my People, your God is my God." The Book of Ruth is read by Jews on the festival of Shavuot (the holiday of the receiving of the Five Books of Moses on Mount Sinai) because the story took place at that time of the year. As you can see in the lithograph, the wheat represents the harvest also mentioned in the Book of Ruth. The last verses of the book tell us that Ruth was the great-grandmother of King David, from whose descendants the Messiah will come.

Measures: 11 x 13 inches.
