This is an exquisite handmade amulet created
in the Yeminite tradition. It is a hamsa or the "hand of God" meant to ward off the evil eye,
the bearer of bad luck. Anat Dachoach (the artist) uses the original moulds and tools that her grandfather (see picture at bottom) brought over
with him to Israel when he immigrated from Yemin in the 1960s. The Dachoach family has been creating fine traditional Yeminite
jewelry for more than 3 generations. It
comes with a silver necklace. Each piece is individually handcrafted
by the artist and not mass produced. It is made of 925 Sterling silver. You won't find this on anyone else.
For centuries now the hamsa
has been used as a symbol of good luck. Originating some thousand years ago
in the far east, the Hand represents the protective hand of God. This magical
hand, also known as the Hamsa Hand, the Hand of Fatima, or the Hand of Miriam,
is known to draw positive energy, happiness, riches and health to anyone wearing
it. This extremely popular charm has also been asociated with bringing people
luck, love, and protection from the curse of the evil eye.
This is a wonderful gift
