A gorgeous micrography lithograph by David Yohanan, signed by the artist, created and printed in Jerusalem. This is the story of Samson (Shimshon), leader and protector of the Jewish people against the Philistines for 20 years. He had tremendous strength given to him by G-d on account of him following strict laws and oaths of Jewish observance of being a nazir. He was betrayed by his lover Delila who cut his hair in his sleep; breaking his nazarite oath and breaking his unique strength with it.
Here he is depicted after his original strength is gone and he is imprisoned by the philistines. He prays to G-d for his strength to be returned, for one last moment-to break the pillars of his captures and to bring down the building around him; to his captures death and his own.
This is a wonderful gift for anyone who appreciates the stories of the bible and fine Jewish art.
